Days 6-9: sao paulo & foz do iguacu
If you have more than two weeks for the trip, i suggest allocating a few extra days for sao paulo.
Sadly i didn’t have enough time to explore the city.
Sao paulo has the worst reputation of all the cities in brazil among foreigners, due to the level of crime, pollution, climate and overcrowding, but i know some friends who actually like it.
The falls are higher than and twice as wide as niagara falls.
450,000 cubic feet of water thunder down the 275 cascades every second.
Backpacking iguacu falls
It is the world’s widest waterfall, and probably it’s most engrossing.
There are walkways that put you literally in the middle of the canyons where you’ll be surrounded on three sides by waterfalls.
Foz do iguacu
It was an edgy place then, but it has since settled down and is relatively pleasant as far as border towns go.
There is little about the town to get excited about, but it works perfectly fine as a base for exploring iguacu falls in both brazil and argentina as well other attractions in the area such as itaipu binacional and parque das aves.
Foz do iguacu activities
Theres not much in the world that compares to the 275 waterfalls that make up stunning iguassu falls, which straddles the border of brazil and argentina and sits not far from paraguay.
On this tour, youll travel from foz do iguacu, brazil, to iguazu national park in argentina to explore the upper circuit, lower circuit and devils throat.
